Appeal following aggravated burglary in Atherstone

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary in Atherstone in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday 5 October).

The incident occurred at around 1 am when offenders armed with a knife and screwdrivers tried to gain access to a house on Stratton Street in the Town.

The occupants of the house were threatened and the offenders demanded the key to their car.

The offenders, however, failed to gain entry and left empty-handed.

Detectives would like to identify a BMW that was in the area at the time and are appealing for anyone in the area with CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch with them.
