Witnesses sought following fatal collision in Coleshill

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses following what is believed to be a fatal collision on the Blythe Road (B4114) in Coleshill in the early hours of Sunday 27th September.

The body of a man in his 30’s was discovered at around 4.30am. He had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle or vehicles. Formal identification is yet to take place.

Following further enquiries, two arrests have been made in connection with this incident.

A 55 year old man from Birmingham was arrested by West Midlands Police, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and a 68 year old woman from Birmingham was arrested by Warwickshire Police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

They have both been released on bail until whilst enquiries continue. The man is is due to answer bail on 18 November whilst the woman is due to answer bail on 17 November.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have seen the man or any vehicles in the area during the early hours of Sunday morning is urged to contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 67 of 27th September.
