Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident at 7.20pm on the M6 on Monday 27 October.
The incident involved a man who was in the carriageway of the M6 Motorway and had been struck by several vehicles on the southbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 12, approximately one mile north of junction 12.
The 41-year-old man from Penkridge was pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist officers will be supporting the man’s family.
The motorway remained closed for four hours whilst officers from the Central Motorway Police Group Collision Investigation unit examined the scene.
