April 16, 2014

Audiences are being invited to enjoy a night in the West End – without even leaving Tamworth.

WestEnders is one of Britain’s leading musical theatre companies, made up of past members of the London cast of the massive hit musical Les Miserables. Between them, they have appeared in more than 25 of the West End’s biggest musicals.

On Friday May 16, they will be bringing their new show, Hear the People Sing, to Tamworth Assembly Rooms.

The gala concert is a celebration of Les Miserables and some of the world’s most popular musicals, including Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, Blood Brothers, We Will Rock You, Hairspray and Evita.

The singers are Linda Jarvis, Jill Nalder, Frances Fry, Lisa Peace, Stephen Weller, Adrian Grove, Andrew Newey, Nathan Taylor, Shaun Kerrison, Jon Osbaldeston and Gareth Snook, under the musical direction of Jae Alexander.

WestEnders have been wowing audiences in the UK and across Europe for more than a decade and tickets are expected to sell fast. So if you want to Hear the People Sing in a West End quality production without leaving the borough, make sure you book early.

Tickets are priced at £17.50 and £16.50 for concessions. They are available online at www.tamworthassemblyrooms.co.uk, in person from Tamworth Information Centre in Corporation Street or by calling the Box Office on 01827 709618.
