Appeal for witnesses following disturbance near Tamworth

WARWICKSHIRE Police is appealing for witnesses or information following a serious incident in Warton last night (Saturday 9 June).

Shortly after 10.30pm, officers were called to a disturbance in the car park of the Fox and Dogs Inn on Orton Road.

A woman in her forties and a woman in her fifties both sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

A 45-year-old man from Coalville has been arrested on suspicion of a Section 18 Wounding and is currently in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Carl Buckley said: “A number of enquiries are currently ongoing, and we are appealing to any witnesses to please make contact.

“It’s believed there were a number of people in the car park at this time who may have witnessed what happened. If anyone has any information, please call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 453 of 9 June 2018.”
