DO you have any spare time and wish to contribute to the development and enrichment of young people in the Tamworth area?

If so 1122 ‘Marmion’ Squadron – Air Training Corps are currently looking for adult volunteers to join their award winning squadron  and be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic team to develop and help young people on their air cadet journey.

You could be part of taking and expanding their squadron to new heights.

Jane Thursfield, from the Air Training Corps has told Tamworth Informed: “We offer a variety of opportunities for cadets to gain new skills, qualifications and experience in many areas,  including, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Adventure Training, Sport, First Aid, Flying and Gliding and many more.

“If you already have qualifications and experience then a bonus, but don’t be put off if you don’t, not only do we develop cadets but we are also committed to developing volunteers too.”

Jane says that people shouldn’t think about the reasons to not join; instead, these are some of the reasons you should:

  1. To participate in the community.
  2. Help the young people of today become the adults of tomorrow.
  3. Meet new people , take on your own challenges , obtain qualifications and make a difference.
  4. Endless opportunities and rewards watching our young people develop.

Jane continues; “Do not take my word for it, take a look at our facebook page and all that we have achieved!”
