Urban arts and sports festival set to wow visitors from across the UK in Tamworth next weekend

New urban era and Community Together CIC are geared up to host their highest quality event to date on the 22 June.

The new and improved urban arts and sports event has been made possible by Funding from Arts Council England and the support of Local businesses.

The event will once again bring some of the UK’S finest graffiti and street artists from across the UK who will be painting to this year’s theme ” Creatures of the skies”

Included on the line up will be last year’s best art production winners Yo crew, UK Illustration Champion Si Mitchell will make his Tamworth debut along with other festival favourites such as Annatomix and N4t4 to name a few.

New Urban era has this year teamed up with Ankerside Shopping Center and will be displaying some of the best works from this year’s event around Ankerside from June 24.

Visitors can get involved more than ever this year with a vast of popup workshops.

Andy Nash will bring multiple arts to the castle grounds with the help from students from South Staffordshire college including Clay tree dressing,  Urban chalk art, Giant doodle wall and tabletop Art inside the Community Together CIC hub.

Other workshops include Breakdancing with Birmingham’s Break mission,  Beatboxing with Skilly Skills, Recycle Art from Omega adventure and portable Scratching from London’s scratchlinkup.

The Fun and entertainment will be complemented by DJs and live performances over two sound systems plus Dance performances from Nrg, Steps8 and Befab dance crews.

Not forgetting professional Breakdance showcases from Birmingham’s Break mission.

If all this isn’t enough the event will once again host the annual 50/50 Skatepark Jam for Bmx, Skateboard and scooter competitions (registration required)

Tamworth BMX Club will be hosting have a go races wile Tamworth mountain bike club will set challenges for riders.

All this and more takes place at the Free event on the 22nd June
