The two-day Taste of Tamworth food festival is returning to the town for the second year, after last year’s debut event proved to be such a success.
Taste of Tamworth is back by popular demand, taking place on Friday September 5 and Saturday September 6 and is aimed at showcasing the wide variety of choice available to diners in Tamworth.
Keen foodies are being invited to pick up a Taste of Tamworth brochure, plan meals at local pubs and restaurants and take advantage of special offers.
Businesses taking part include Taco Mini Hut, the Aspen Restaurant at the SnowDome, Pizza Express, Roaster’s, U-Bar, Christopher’s, Nando’s and the Vodka Bar at The Bow Street Runner.
To coincide with the opening of Nando’s at Ventura Park, staff from the restaurant will be handing out free food under the Town Hall on the Saturday to give Tamworth a taste of what they have to offer.
And for beer lovers, Taste of Tamworth coincides with the 21st Tamworth Beer festival, which runs from September 4 to September 6 at Tamworth Assembly Rooms.
The Tamworth Tourist Information Centre in the Philip Dix Centre in Corporation Street has put together a special display of businesses which are taking part. The Taste of Tamworth brochure is packed with special offers, price reductions and events to encourage residents to take advantage of local food suppliers, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
Tamworth Borough Council Deputy Leader, Cllr Rob Pritchard, said: “Last year’s Taste of Tamworth festival was a huge success, and we are delighted to welcome it back this year. I would encourage all Tamworth residents to pick up a brochure and support some of the many wonderful food and drink establishments we have here in Tamworth.”
