NEW analysis from BBC’s Newsbeat has suggested that Tamworth is the best place to live for miles around if you are under 26; beating both neighbouring North Warwickshire and Lichfield.
The analysis ranks 378 local authorities in England, Wales and Scotland from highest to lowest and is part of the BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat’s ‘Know Your Place’ project.
The scores take in to account eleven different categories, rating things like 4G coverage, mental health care, average rent prices and levels of unemployment.
The data, which was selected by BBC News, also looks at the number of bars, pubs, clubs and music events in each local authority, as well as access to sports facilities.
At the bottom of the pile is Melton in Leicestershire and Islington in London came top of the rankings.
Tamworth scored an average of 5/10 for the categories, beating surrounding Lichfield, North Warwickshire, East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and Nuneaton and Bedworth who all scored an average of 4.
Nearby Birmingham came out with an average score of 6.
