Tamworth man stabbed in his own flat

OFFICERS from Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was stabbed at his home in Tamworth on Wednesday night (14 November)

At around 9.05pm, a group of unknown offenders wearing face-coverings, hoodies and gloves entered an address at Eringden, Stonydelph, and assaulted a man in his flat.

Prior to the assault, the offenders were seen accessing an elevator to the property and then left the scene via a stairwell shortly afterwards.

A 35-year-old man was taken to Good Hope Hospital with multiple stab wounds. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and his current condition is described as stable.

A full investigation is underway and officers are making enquiries to trace the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 826 of 14 November.
