A TAMWORTH man has been charged with a number of offences after he was found with a teenager who had been missing for a number of weeks.
A national hunt was launched to find the then 15-year-old Naomi Rees from Pontypridd, South Wales after she disappeared from her home on August 15.
Glascote Heath resident, 20-year-old Tomas Baker was arrested after the teenager was found by police in Solihull on Tuesday 11 September.
He has since been charged with a number of offences; two counts of detaining a child without lawful authority, three counts of making indecent images, and possession of a bladed article.
Naom Rees has now returned to her home in South Wales and her parents have thanked the public for their support.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “South Wales Police can confirm that missing girl Naomi Rees was located by police in Solihull and has since been returned to South Wales.
“South Wales Police and Naomi’s parents would like to thank the public for their tremendous support since Naomi went missing on August 15, 2018. “
