Swan rescued in Polesworth!

February 11, 2016

POLICE Community Support Officers in Polesworth have rescued a swan that was wondering in to busy traffic.

PCSO HODSON and PCSO HARLE came to the rescue when noticing a swan had wandered into a busy road in North Warwickshire. Clearly distressed, the swan was reluctant to be coaxed out of the road creating a risk to fellow road users and the swan itself.

We simply cannot resist the opportunity to tell you how the bird was ‘swanning around’ in the road!

The officers took it upon themselves to capture the swan and it was later released into Abbey Green Park, Polesworth without incident.

As courageous as the officers were, despite constant warning as a child, have you ever met anybody who has had their arm broken by a swan?
