Get Zumba strong for free ready for the summer

Tuesday, 21st May 2019

PEOPLE looking for a new fitness challenge are being invited to take part in another exciting programme of FREE Strong by Zumba sessions starting from May 24.

Active Tamworth – part of Tamworth Borough Council’s Sports Development – has teamed up with local Zumba instructor, Kasia, for the second year running, for a series of free Strong by Zumba exercise classes, which will be held at Tamworth Activity Centre in the Castle Grounds.

These sessions will run every Friday for four weeks, starting on May 24, until June 14, from 7pm-8pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity for people to join the class and experience STRONG by Zumba – an exercise class that combines body weight, muscle conditioning and cardio training moves, all synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move.

Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more!

Anyone interested in joining these sessions should turn up on a Friday evening at the activity centre with a mat, (if you have one) water and a towel. This class is a high-intensity workout to a beat of powerful music, which aims to push you past your limits to meet your fitness goals faster.

Sarah McGrandle, Assistant Director of Operations and Leisure for Tamworth Borough Council, said: “STRONG by Zumba has become a huge success and very popular; I would encourage people to take this opportunity to enjoy a free session during the next four weeks.

“We hope that people from across Tamworth will find the FREE classes exciting and maybe try something they may not have tried before”.
