Tamworth Company giving away £4,500 to help develop STEM subjects

A TAMWORTH company is giving away three prizes, worth £1,500 each to local school staff to enable them to develop a STEM project.

PI-KEM, a specialist supplier of advanced materials and equipment, based in Wilnecote are celebrating their 30th Anniversary and as part of their celebrations they want to help young people in the local community to engage with STEM based activities.

STEM activities are those based around Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.

As part of their celebrations, they are running a competition for local school staff, offering them the chance to win one of three £1500 prizes to develop their own STEM project, designed to encourage students to engage in STEM and look at further education and careers within STEM based industries.

The competition is open to any Secondary or Sixth Form staff members, based at Schools/Colleges within Tamworth, Polesworth and Kingsbury.

The competition is open to any school department, you just need to tell them how you would spend £1500 on a STEM focussed project!
