A SERIOUS collision involving two vehicles closed Trinity Road from the junction with the M42 Roundabout this evening.
Emergency services rushed to the scene this evening, Friday 25 May, shortly before 8.30pm and when they arrived at the scene it was discovered that three persons were trapped.
The collision is the latest in a number of serious collisions on this stretch of road.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service have said: “At 2027 hours on the 25th May, 2018 Warwickshire Fire Control received a 999 call to a road traffic collision on Trinity Road, Freasley. Two fire engines were mobilised one from Polesworth Fire Station and the other from Atherstone.
“Once in attendance, it was confirmed that this road accident involved two private motor vehicles one on the roadway and one off. Three persons were trapped and they were released by firefighters using cutting equipment and small gear. Police and Ambulance were also in attendance.”
The road remained closed for a number of hours and was reported to have fully re-opened shortly before midnight.
