The Searchers emerged in Liverpool during the Merseybeat era in the 1960s – and more than 45 year later, they’re still going strong.

The band – arguably second only to the Beatles as Liverpool’s finest group – bring their classic sound to Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Wednesday June 4.

During their long career, The Searchers have sold well in excess of 50 million records, and continue to tour the globe, playing to audiences of all ages.

As well as hits including Sweets For My Sweet, Needles and Pins, Don’t Throw Your Love Away, Sugar & Spice and When You Walk In the Room, the highly entertaining show features anecdotes and reminiscences, as well as album recordings, B-sides and a selection of collector’s items.

Tickets, priced at £19.50, are available online at www.tamworthassemblyrooms.co.uk, in person from Tamworth Information Centre in Corporation Street or by calling the Box Office on 01827 709618.
