Renewed appeal after Polesworth towpath attack

WARWICKSHIRE Police is issuing a renewed appeal for witnesses following an assault at a canal towpath near Tamworth Road, Polesworth.

The incident happened between 4pm and 8.30pm on Thursday 31 March, when a man was attacked by 2 unknown men whilst walking with a female friend.

The victim, a man in his thirties, received head wounds as a result of the attack and he then left the scene, later receiving treatment at hospital.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call them on 101, quoting incident number 363 of 31 March.
