Push the Boat out with free sailing – THIS WEEKEND

May 9, 2014

Here is your chance to ‘Push the Boat out’ and try sailing as part of a National Festival.

There’s just one week until Warwickshire gets ready to ‘Push The Boat Out’ as part of a national festival of sailing and windsurfing offering FREE and discounted taster opportunities for all to ‘have a go’ across the county on 17-18 May.

Three Warwickshire sailing clubs and centres will be giving the chance to all-comers – regardless of age, experience or ability – to get out on the water to sample sailing and/or windsurfing at no or low cost, and get a taste for a fantastic, social outdoor sport where everyday life really does get left on the shore.

Do you want to try sailing?

Draycote Water SC, Shustoke SC and Bosworth Water Trust are amongst no fewer than 250 clubs, centres and organisations nationwide – and 40 in the Midlands – opening their doors to the public as part of national RYA Push the Boat Out weekend.

Booking is essential for some of the activities, and more Push The Boat out events are being registered all the time.

Refreshments will be available and a warm welcome is guaranteed as BBQs and other social activities also take place to give newcomers a real sense of each club. All you need for any of the Open Days or ‘have a go’ sessions are a change of clothes, soft soled shoes and a towel and the clubs/centres will provide what else you need.
