Police name man who’s body was found in Fazeley river

Police confirmed yesterday evening (Sunday) that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the unexplained death of a man in Fazeley.  They have also named the male as David Grant.

Detectives from Staffordshire Police CID have been working to establish the circumstances which lead to a man’s body being discovered in the River Tame on Saturday evening at around 7.10 pm on Saturday.

Detectives now believe there are no suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for Her Majesties Coroner.

The name of the male who died has now been confirmed as a local male, David Grant, who was 45-years-old and from Dosthill.

His family have been informed an ask for privacy at this difficult time.
