Police in Nuneaton continue investigation following death of ‘loving son and brother’

POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information after a man died following an altercation in Nuneaton on Saturday 15 July at around 1pm.

Peter Spiers, aged 66, from Nuneaton, was taken to hospital following the incident in Market place, where he later died.

Mr Spiers’ family has released photos of him and described him as “a loving son and brother.”

A post mortem was inconclusive and more tests will be carried out.

A 46-year-old man from Nuneaton arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed until August while investigations continue.
