“Please don’t use water for anything that isn’t essential”- says South Staffs Water

Monday, 5th March 2018

SOUTH Staffs Water are urging it’s customers to not use water for anything which is not essential after it has suffered from major supply problems caused by the weather.

Following the recent freeze, South Staffordshire Water are saying that they are experiencing very high levels of demand for water due to a large number of burst pipes and multiple leaks.

They say that they are currently aware of issues in the B77, WS15, WS11, WS7, B70 and DY6 postcode areas.

South Staffs Water say that by asking customers to not use water for anything that isn’t essential, it will make a real difference and help them to ensure they maintain supplies to as many customers as possible.

The company have also said that customers may also notice changes in the pressure of their water supply whilst they’re making changes within their network.

A Spokesperson has said: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience, we’re working hard to resolve this as soon as possible.”

They ask that if you see a leak in the road or footpath to call them on 0800 389 1011 or tweet them at @SthStaffsWater
