Phillip Murphy: Helicopter joins search for missing Tamworth man

OFFICERS from Staffordshire Police are continuing their search for missing 60-year-old Phillip Murphy from Tamworth.

They are becoming increasingly concerned for Phillip’s safety and well-being and are appealing to the public again for any information that may help find him.

Colleagues from the National Police Air Service and Staffordshire Search and Rescue have also been assisting in the search for Phillip this afternoon (Sunday 05 April).

Phillip is believed to have been last seen leaving Tony’s Fish Bar on Lichfield Street in Tamworth between 8.30 – 9pm on Thursday 2nd April. He was wearing a dark blue coat and carrying a blue drawstring sports bag.

He is described as white, 6ft 2ins and medium build. He has dark brown hair, and usually wears an oversized tracksuit with trainers. His right arm may be in a sling and he walks with a limp so often uses a walking stick.

Anyone who has seen Phillip or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call Staffordshire Police immediately on 101, quoting incident number 207 of 03 April.
