WITH less than a week to go until Staffordshire Day on Monday, 1 May, people are being reminded to tweet about what they love about Staffordshire.
Thousands of people will be joining in the celebrations over the weekend at over 50 events across the county in what’s become an annual fixture in the region’s tourism calendar.
The celebration, organised by Enjoy Staffordshire, supported by Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the county’s other local authorities, aims to showcase what the county has to offer for visitors.
Organisers now want people to tweet what they love about their county on Staffordshire Day, using the #staffordshireday hash tag.
Darryl Eyers, Director for Economy at Staffordshire County Council said:
“We all know what a wonderful place Staffordshire is to live and visit but now’s our chance to really shout about it. We want as many people as possible to tweet what they love about Staffordshire on the day using #Staffordshireday.
“So, whether it’s the wonderful countryside, Staffordshire oatcakes, our top attractions or the friendliness of the people, let us know. Let’s get Staffordshire trending.”
