TAMWORTH based singer-songwriting duo ‘One Week Later’, has an exciting new video out on YouTube to coincide with the general digital release of a new EP entitled, ‘Things That Make No Sense’.
The duo of Richard Smith and Jane Broughton, have been writing together since 2010, and already have two CDs out on general release. Their first album, ‘Songs From Mars’ also has a quirky video on YouTube based on the single from this album ‘Mars’.
Earlier in 2018, they released their second album, ‘Connected’ which also has an accompanying YouTube video called Connected, again the title of the single taken from the album.
“We’re basically an Alternative Pop/Indie Pop band, but we often experiment with other music genres and we’ve come up with this three track EP ‘Things That Make No Sense’. We call this our ‘Funky OWL’ phase, as it has a typically 80s dance feel to it, somewhat reminiscent of Nile Rogers”, said Richard.
Jane added: ” We’re currently working hard on our set and we do two full rehearsals every week. On Saturday afternoons, we rehearse at Sinewave Studios in Tamworth, owned and directed by Alan Caves who has a life-long history of involvement and production of well-known bands and musicians, including UB40. Alan also works closely with another local band, namely Quill”.
