ALMOST 50 new homes have been sold at a new homes development in Tamworth, where building work has now reached the halfway stage.
Ashberry Homes’ Oaklands development, off Ashby Road, has been particularly popular with first-time buyers who’ve been taking advantage of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme and the housebuilder’s furniture pack offer.
Help to Buy enables first-time buyers, and those with a property to sell, to secure a Government loan for up to 20 per cent of their new home’s full price – so they only need a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent loan-to-value mortgage.
Carolyne Watkinson, Sales Director for Ashberry Homes East Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to have helped almost 50 customers find their new home at our Oaklands development in Tamworth.
“We have primarily three and four-bedroom detached houses on sale here and we’re seeing many buyers being able to afford a much bigger home than they had imagined thanks to the availability of the Help to Buy scheme.
“Our furniture packs are also proving really handy for those who are starting out on the property ladder and setting up in their first home.
“With properties selling fast, I’d advise anyone thinking of making their move to a new-build home at Oaklands to visit without delay – or they may risk missing out.”
There’s currently a range of three and four-bedroom properties available to reserve at Oaklands, with prices starting from £273,000. A selection of two-bedroom homes has also just been released for sale priced from £210,000.
