Namco Funscape to pop-up at Ankerside

Thursday, 29th March 2018

SHOPPERS are set to strike it lucky next week as an entertainment venue is gearing up to bring a pop-up bowling alley to the town’s shopping centre.

Namco Funscape and Ankerside Shopping Centre will be teaming up on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 April to keep children occupied during the school holidays with free games of ten-pin bowling.

From 11am to 4pm, customers of all ages will be able to enjoy putting their bowling skills to the test with Namco’s pop-up alley, which will be located in a unit next to Warren James and opposite Select.

Jeff Wigley, Ankerside Shopping Centre manager, said it is great that the centre has teamed up with such a popular games attraction for the Easter holidays. “We’ve been partnering with Namco Funscape for a number of years and it has always been a huge success with families shopping at Ankerside, so we’re sure Friday and Saturday will see lots of people taking part.”

Not only will there be a free bowling alley for friends and family to go head-to-head, but a Pac Man-themed soft play area and Castle Adventure Golf will also be set up for the people of Tamworth to enjoy.

“Namco’s pop-up activities are brilliant and it’s a fantastic way to keep youngsters occupied,” said Jeff. “It’s going to be a great couple of days at Ankerside and we look forward to seeing plenty of smiles in the centre during the school holidays.”
