STAFF from McDonalds Ventura Park branch joined forces with local school children from William Macgregor School on the Glascote Road to help clean up their local environment last week.

Bianca Carvel who is a shift manager at the Ventura Park branch told Tamworth Informed: “We want people to see we are more than just a food chain and we do so much more! We decided to start with Macgregor Park as it is in walking distance to where a lot of the children live.”

Around an hour was spent outside litter picking by the staff from McDonalds and children from Willam Macgregor Schools school committee.  Also joining the litter pick was PCSO Trow and PCSO Tomlinson, along with local councillors Ken Norchi, John Faulkner and Sheree Peaple.

Bianca continued: “There were some interesting finds, including a bicycle seat. The children were all so well behaved and a credit to their school.

“We are planning more of these events as it was such a huge success and it is a great way to teach the young generation to keep the world that we live in a much cleaner place.”
