Marmoset Massage at Twycross Zoo

Tuesday, 15th May 2018

THE Silvery marmosets at award-winning conservation charity, Twycross Zoo, have been getting into the swing of things ahead of National Massage Day on Wednesday 16th May.

The adorable monkeys have been using the nails on their fingers to carry out grooming on each other, a key characteristic of their behaviour in the wild and something that Twycross Zoo’s expert keepers have been delighted to see.

Check out our video below of the fun-loving duo taking a well-deserved break from climbing trees!

Visitors can come and see the Silvery marmosets at the Leicestershire-based Zoo and explore the animal world with indoor and outdoor enclosures, interactive experiences and exciting encounters with over 500 animals from 130 different species.

Twycross Zoo is open to the public from 10.00 to 18.00, 364 days a year. For more information and to book tickets, visit or call 0844 474 1777.
