Wednesday, 27th September 2017

STAFFORDSHIRE Police are today asking you to cast your minds back a few weeks to Monday 11 September when a male demanded money from a victim in the street.

They are asking anyone that was on Ferrers Road, Tamworth at the time as to whether they noticed anything unusual at 4:30pm.

A man was pushing a wheelbarrow to his home when a man approached him appearing to offer help before threatening to harm him if he did not offer over any money. The man managed to get away from the offender.

The offender is described as a white male, wearing a dark coloured t-shirt, a grey hoodie and had short dark hair receding at the front. He was also smoking. CCTV is not clear enough to enable an identification however the man is clearly acting suspicious outside the address lingering and looking around a lot.

If you have any information which may help police identify this offender, please speak to Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 667 of 11 September.

You can also report crime by contacting the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
