Man charged in relation to Tamworth car thefts

A BIRMINGHAM man has been charged with a series of vehicle theft offences.

Luke Mander, aged 21, of Kingsbury Road, Erdington, has been charged with attempted theft of a motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, conspiring to commit robbery and kidnap.

The charges relate to the theft of high-value vehicles, including Ford Fiesta STs, in Tamworth during October and November this year.

After appearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme this morning (21 December) he has been remanded into custody.

Mander will now appear at Stafford Crown Court on 18 January 2019.
