Drayton Manor Park goes bananas for Love Your Zoo week

Monday, 20th May 2019

A LOCAL family-favourite theme park has the perfect week of events for little monkeys this May half term.

Staffordshire-based Drayton Manor Park is inviting animal lovers from across the UK to spend their May half term (25 May to 2 June) at the park for an extra-special Love Your Zoo week.

In addition to its 100+ rides and attractions, Drayton Manor Park will also be hosting daily activities, including interactive zoo tours, trails and workshops for budding vets and zookeepers.

Families will be able to learn about Drayton Manor’s 100+ species in the new Love Your Zoo trail, and join the zookeeper team for a fascinating interactive journey into the animal kingdom, with daily ‘Animals are Amazing’ talks.

‘Victorious Vets’ is the perfect activity for budding veterinarians; a hands-on demonstration which explores how vets care for animals, not just in the zoo, but out in the wild and at home.

For those who prefer wild rides to wildlife, the theme park is also home to adrenaline-fuelled rides such as Shockwave, Accelerator and Maelstrom.

Drayton Manor Park is also home to Europe’s only Thomas Land, featuring family-favourite characters from Thomas & Friends. Suitable for children and adults of all ages, Thomas Land consists of 25 tot-friendly favourites, including several exciting mini coasters for the little ones.

William Bryan, Managing Director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “We are all very excited to be celebrating Love Your Zoo week this May half term.

“Wildlife conservation is extremely important to us at Drayton Manor, and we’re proud to provide a caring home to critically endangered species, as well as tailored breeding programmes to help repopulation.

“Love Your Zoo week will provide a fantastic insight into the work of our dedicated zookeeper team, so I look forward to welcoming animal lovers to the park to get involved with the amazing work our team does.”

The family owned and run attraction is offering ticket discounts of up to 35% off the gate price when booking in advance. Tickets are available online at https://www.draytonmanor.co.uk/tickets-and-prices, or through Drayton Manor’s ticket line on 0844 472 1950.
