Line dancers to strut their stuff in the Castle Grounds

Monday, 1st September 2014

Yeehaw – pull on your cowboy boots and Stetsons and mosey on down to the Castle Grounds for the return of the hugely popular Stars & Stripes line dancing event.

Hundreds of line dancing fans are set to turn the Castle Grounds into sea of rootin’ tootin’ all-American red, white and blue on Saturday September 13.

Tamworth’s Maxine Beck will lead the way at the event, which starts at 12noon and runs through to 5pm on the Lower Lawn.

Music will be provided by Kelly McCall and Glenn Rogers – the multi award-winning country and line dance artist, TV personality and host.

There will also be other fun events taking place throughout the day, including a bouncy castle and arts & crafts activities run by the Community Café.

Organisers of Stars & Stripes are promising a great afternoon of entertainment for the whole family, which will give visitors the chance to meet people from across the country.

All profits raised by the event will be donated to the charities Macmillan Cancer Support and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

More information on the event is available online at or by calling 01827 709618.
