TAMWORTH arts group, New Urban Era (Nue) will return to Tamworth Castle Grounds Tomorrow (2 June) to host another day of urban arts and sports.
The annual festival has become one of Tamworth’s key events and attracts Artists and visitors from across the UK.
This year will see more artist space and added to the event along with a lineup of the UK’S finest.
The expansion of this year’s event was made possible through New urban era’s successful crowdfunding campaign that raised over £1000 for the event from local residents businesses and vistors of the event.
Further funds came from Tamworth Borough Council Arts grant and Staffordshire County Councillor, Ben Adams.
Organiser Vic Brown says: “We are looking forward to this year’s event and working with our partners at Community together CIC.
The event will be something special this year with some of the biggest names in the UK graffiti scene attending including Astek, Ekto, Jim Vision, Brave and Skyhigh to name just a few. We expect the line up to attract new visitors to the Town and help raise the profile of the event.”
Organisers have also linked up with Planet of the breaks to host the music at our Tunnels venue.With Djs like Sonny woods and Trans4mers taking to the decks Hip hop music fans are in for a treat and not forgetting Tamworths very own world Dj champion Mr M who’s a long time supporter of the event and will also play the official after party at Vanity Bar
The family event will also include the very popular 50/50 Skatepark Jam open to Local youths to enter Skateboard Bmx and scooter competitions. Also on the day will be the pop-up Bmx track supplied by Tamworth BMX Club.
This year they are taking things a step further and introducing Vegan street food to the event along with the already healthy lunch options Community together CIC offer at the Hub.
The event will run from 11.00am until 6.00pm and visitors are reminded that Tamworth Castle Grounds is an Alcohol-Free zone.
