HiB wins Large Business of the Year at regional awards

Wednesday, 3rd February 2021

LEADING bathroom supplier HiB has been named as Large Business of the Year in the Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield, Tamworth and Cannock Chase Annual Awards 2021.

Staff from across the company tuned into the online awards, together with finalists and businesses, which were held as part of a virtual ceremony.

HiB, which has a distribution site at Birch Coppice Business Park, Tamworth was recognised for its efforts in not only making products that make bathrooms beautiful, but also for its commitment to improving the lives of its employees, partners and the wider community.

Jason Challoner, Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber President, said:

“It was fantastic to see Tamworth-based HiB win the large business award at our event on Thursday night, especially in recognition of their commitment to customer service, innovation and consistency.

“As a large employer in the area and following a year of real strife for many, to be able to speak about such a positive win for the company is an absolute pleasure. Congratulations to all the team.”

Among the criteria considered for the awards was the company’s plan for growth, corporate social responsibility, contribution to the local community and initiatives to support employees through skills development.

HiB regularly takes part in events and schemes to support local people, with staff often volunteering for fundraising and community projects to help schemes such as the Tamworth Pantry and charities including St Giles Hospice.

As well as supporting local good causes, HiB is also committed to providing work and training opportunities to new employees, having recently recruited new apprentices and launching the HiB Academy, a hub for learning and developing new skills.

Managing Director at HiB, Robert Ginsberg said:

“We are delighted to have won Large Business of the Year in the Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield, Tamworth and Cannock Chase Annual Awards, especially when there was some strong competition from other fantastic businesses in the area.

“At HiB, we understand the importance of not only designing innovative products for the bathroom industry but also being a responsible business that supports the local area and its employees.

“This award recognises our efforts to making a difference in the community and I’d like to thank the judges and the organisers of the award on behalf of all at HiB, for putting on such a fantastic awards event.”
