Have yourself a merry little Christmas time at Tamworth Voices concert

Friday, 27th November 2015

A MONTH of Christmas themed entertainment at Tamworth Assembly Rooms kicks off on December 1 with a festive concert from Tamworth Voices.

Anyone who enjoyed the mixed choir’s sing-along at the Christmas lights switch-on can get another helping of classic Christmas songs and traditional carols, including solo performances and poems.

The choir has also decided to perform a selection of love and remembrance songs dedicated to the people of Paris following the terror attacks earlier this month.

Tamworth Voices was set up by Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts & Events team following a successful taster session in December 2011.

A total of 20 chairs were put out for that initial workshop and now, as it reaches its fourth year, the choir has grown in size to 100 members ranging in age from 18 to 75 and over.

The group performs regularly throughout the year under the expert direction of established musician and vocal coach Gladstone Wilson.

So for a feast of musical variety to suit all tastes and a toe-tapping start to the festive season, get your tickets now.

Tickets for the Tamworth Voices Christmas Concert are priced at £5 and are available online at www.tamworthassemblyrooms.co.uk, in person from Tamworth Tourist Information Centre in Corporation Street or by calling the Box Office on 01827 709618. A transaction fee of £1 is payable on all online and telephone bookings.
