CHILDREN from across Tamworth will be able to visit a very special haunted wood at Ankerside this Saturday, as the centre hosts its free Halloween spooktacular.
From 11am to 4pm on Saturday 29 October, youngsters will be able to venture into the deep dark wood for all manner of Halloween-themed activity and ghostly goings on, including face painting, arts and crafts and trick-or-treating across the centre.
There will also be a competition for the best Halloween decoration for the trees in the haunted wood with a special prize for the winner.
Ankerside Centre Manager, Jeff Wigley, said he was looking forward to the spine-chilling spooktacular. “Saturday is set to be a great day at the centre,” said Jeff. “We’ve got a whole range of free, Halloween-themed activity taking place with lots of opportunities for children of all ages to take part.
“As well as face painting and arts and crafts, a number of our retailers have got involved so that children can go trick-or-treating in the centre. It’s a great chance for little ones in particular to experience the fun of it all, in a safe environment. Everyone at the centre is really looking forward to this weekend.”
