Grill the Parliamentary Candidates tonight

TAMWORTH voters will have a chance to grill the town’s five parliamentary candidates at a hustings event hosted by Tamworth Covenanting Churches tonight (Thursday).

The meeting will be held at St Editha’s Church tonight, Thursday, April 30 starting at 7.30pm, giving all five candidates a chance to voice their opinions and answer questions.

Tamworth residents are urged to come along, but if you cannot make it then the whole evening will be broadcast live on 106.8 TCR fm.

A spokesperson said: “This is a very important evening for the people of Tamworth. We get to listen to the proposals from our would-be local representatives, and there will also be a chance to ask them questions on the night.

“We’d encourage as many people as possible to come along to St Editha’s Church, but if not then it will be streamed live on local Tamworth radio.”

The 2015 General Election candidates who will be vying for votes are:

Carol Dean (Labour)
Jan Higgins (UKIP)
Nicola Holmes (Green)
Christopher Pincher (Conservative)
Jenny Pinkett (Lib Dem)
