WOODLAND Trust have announced that they are offering free trees to schools, youth clubs and community groups again this year!
The trees come in packs of 30, 105 or 420; schools and community groups and clubs (such as Brownies, Scouts, sports clubs, parish councils and more) have until 3rd of September to apply. The trees will be delivered to successful applicants in November.
The packs come in ‘themes’ you can choose from, each containing different species of native trees which offer benefits including year-round colour and woodfuel.
August 2014 marked the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War. Woodland Trust would like you to take part in a once-in-a-generation tribute for those who lived and served, by creating a growing legacy that will stand tall for centuries to come.
Over the next four years they are offering more than three million free trees to help communities, schools and youth groups create special, living memorials.
