WITH the votes counted and verified, we can now bring you the full results of the Tamworth Borough Council election.
All ten wards had one seat each up for grabs - one-third of the Council.
The Conservative candidates won all ten seats, gaining Glascote from UKIP and Bolehall from Labour - the first time Labour has lost a seat in the Bolehall ward for a very long time.
In the Mercian Ward there was a VERY close-fought battle with just 4 votes in it between Conservative Candidate Paul Cooper and the Independent candidate Richard Kingstone.

Overall, there was a very poor turn out for the election, with the highest turnout being 37%.

Tamworth Borough Council is now currently made up of 24 Conservative councillors, 4 Labour councillors, 1 Independent councillor and 1 UK Independence Party (UKIP) councillor. this means that the Conservative form the controlling group.
