POLICE have said that an intelligence-led operation has led to two men being arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Tamworth.
Officers stopped a grey Seat Leon outside of an address in Falcon, Wilnecote, at around 9.25am yesterday morning (7 March) on suspicion of being involved in the dealing of drugs.
Following a detailed search, a large amount of Class A drugs, cash and phones were seized, along with the vehicle.
A 37-year-old man from Tamworth was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply and driving with no insurance.
In addition, a 30-year-old man from Tamworth was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
Both men have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
