Drug dealer jailed for three years after Tamworth search

A DRUG dealer who concealed more than 50 wraps of Class A drugs in his bottom has been jailed for three years.

Joshua Hyslop, 21, of Foxes Meadow, Birmingham, was convicted and sentenced at Stafford Crown Court last week (11 March) after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin and possession of cannabis/cannabis resin.

Hyslop was stopped and searched at the Exley Centre in Belgrave, on 6 November 2017.

A search at the scene showed he was in possession of cocaine, cannabis vegetation and £370 cash. He was taken to custody and following another search, officers found a 59 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin concealed in his bottom. A mobile SIM card was also found inside his sock.

Chief Inspector Ashley Farrington, commander of Tamworth Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This is a good result for our community. Not only is a drug dealer behind bars but we stopped harmful drugs from reaching the streets.”
