A drive-in cinema is coming to Tamworth’s Statfold Barn Railway this week.
Five films will be shown in total from Thursday to Saturday, but the capacity is extremely limited, with organisers urging people that there are only a few spaces left, and some films are already sold out.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rocketman and 2020 horror The Invisible Man all have a handful of tickets still available, and organisers have put on an extra showing of Grease due to popular demand.
Organiser Sam Beech from Big Screen Experiences said:
“If you’ve never been to a drive-in cinema, now is the perfect time to do it!
“We have now been in some form of lockdown for over a year; as the restrictions begin to ease, people are desperate to get out the house and do something different.
“Drive-In cinemas are now allowed as part of the Government’s roadmap, but with not many other entertainment venues allowed to open, it’s a great way to do something safe and fun.”
The Statfold Barn Drive-In Cinema presents Grease Sing-a-Long on Thursday 15th April, Grease (sold out) and 2020 horror film The Invisible Man on Friday 16 April, and Rocketman and The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday 17 April, with the first film starting at 8pm and the second film starting at 10.30pm.
Hot and cold food and drink will also be available each night.
Tickets are £20 per car and can be purchased from www.BigScreenExperiences.EventBrite.co.uk.
