Tamworth’s Drive-In Cinema back by Popular Demand

Monday, 26th April 2021

TAMWORTH’S favourite drive-in cinema is back at Statfold Barn Railway for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Six films will be shown in total this Thursday to Sunday, but the capacity is extremely limited, with organisers urging people that most films only have a few spaces left.

Drive-in films on offer include The Greatest Showman, Dirty Dancing and Bohemian Rhapsody, as well as Wonder Woman 1984, JOKER and Beetlejuice.

Organiser Sam Beech from Big Screen Experiences said: “We ran our first drive-in cinema at Statfold Barn a couple of weeks ago, and it was a great success!

“Lots of people loved singing along to Grease and Rocketman, and being terrified by The Invisible Man; the people of Tamworth really wanted us to put on more films, so we are pleased to announce six more this weekend, and hopefully more in the future too.

“We’ve got something for everyone! The family can sing along to The Greatest Showman whilst adults can enjoy the Oscar award winning film, JOKER, straight after.

“Just like before, we are limited with the number of cars we can allow onto the site, so the films are all nearly sold out, but there are still a few spaces left.

“We are also pleased to announce that our extremely popular nachos are back, as well as a wider selection of hot and cold food, popcorn and our tasty Luxury Hot Chocolates.”

Tickets for the Statfold Barn Drive-In Cinema start from £20 per car and can be purchased from www.BigScreenExperiences.EventBrite.co.uk.
