THE owners of Tamworth’s Drayton Manor Park has announced that this year they will not be holding their ‘Magical Christmas’ event after 12 years of success.
News of the event being cancelled comes due to the uncertainty of the lockdown and tier system across the country,
The Drayton Manor Park Magical Christmas has truly been a magical experience for a number of years and has also secured employment for hundreds of local residents who will no doubt be upset by the news.
Owners of the park have said that the announcement is being made “with a very heavy heart” and that the decision “has not been taken lightly”.
The company will be contacting anyone who has made bookings for the event, but they can also be contacted on email@example.com. Their phone lines will however be closed.
In previous years, here at Tamworth Informed, we have bought live footage from the event which has included a parade and fireworks display, which you can see below.
On the company’s website, owners of Drayton Manor Park have said:
It is with a very heavy heart that we have to announce that this year’s Magical Christmas event won’t go ahead.
With the uncertainty surrounding the lockdown period, the possible tier system coming into place following this, and the time in which we have to deliver our award winning product, we wouldn’t be able to offer our guests the experience they all know and love.
This decision has not been taken lightly; we’re just as disappointed as you are that we cannot open our gates. For the past 12 years we have celebrated Christmas with you all, and sadly this year we’re unable to.
Our team will contact guests with ticket and hotel bookings for Magical Christmas to discuss their options. Phone lines will be closed to allow us to manage this effectively, but if you wish to contact us, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or direct message on social media and we will come back to you.
We wish all our guests a very merry and safe Christmas and look forward to welcoming you back in 2021.
Earlier this year we reported how Drayton Manor Park had been purchased from the Bryan family by the Looping Group after 70 years of private ownership.
