Did you witness serious collision?

STAFFORDSHIRE police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a road traffic collision last week.

The collision happened at around 5.40pm on Thursday 21 April on the A515 near its junction with Shaw Lane, Lichfield, and involved a blue Mercedes A Class and a white Mercedes goods vehicle.

The driver of the A Class, a 33-year-old man from Burton, suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where he remains receiving treatment. His condition is described as stable.

The driver of the goods vehicle, a 49-year-old man from Liverpool, was uninjured.

The road remained closed for around three hours while specialist officers from the regional collision investigation unit carried out a detailed examination of the scene.
