Did you witness collision on Trinity Road?

OFFICERS from Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a head on collision on Saturday (28 October), just off junction 10 of the M42, heading towards Planters Garden Centre.

The incident happened around 6.25pm when a black VW Golf was involved in a collision with a white Mini Cooper. Staffordshire Police, Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

The driver of the Mini Cooper, a man in his 20s, was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with injuries that were described as potentially life threatening.

When emergency services arrived on scene, both vehicles were well ablaze. The road has seen temporary traffic lights in place since the incident whilst the road surface is repaired.

The collision occurred on the un-lit stretch of road during hours of darkness.

Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the manner in which either vehicle was being driven before hand is asked to contact PC 1629 Adderley by calling 101, asking for Warwickshire Police and quoting incident number 346 of 28 October.
