An exciting new scheme which encourages customers and visitors to use local Tamworth businesses by offering incentives and discounts is urging people to sign up.

Destination Tamworth Find a Biz – the partnership formed to support and boost local businesses in and around Tamworth – launched the new Loyalty Club scheme earlier this month.

Dozens of shops and businesses of all types in and around Tamworth are already signed up to provide offers to cardholders and it is hoped that even more will come on board as the scheme grows.

Tamworth Loyalty SchemeThe Loyalty Club scheme aims is to make local businesses more attractive to Tamworth shoppers, raise their profile and encourage shoppers to use them again and again.

Cardholders get the benefit of money off deals, special discounts, buy one get one free offers and special promotions, as well as supporting local businesses.

The cards cost £5 and are valid for 12 months. All the special offers which cardholders can benefit from are listed on the website and advertised in the participating businesses, which display the Loyalty Club logo in their windows.

The site will be regularly updated to reflect the latest offers and discounts.

Sam Panton from Destination Tamworth Find a Biz said: “This new initiative gives local businesses the chance to continually raise their profile by being creative with offers and promotions, attracting customers and getting them back time and time again.”

She added: “The more people who buy the card, the more successful the Loyalty Club scheme will be. We need people to support local businesses and would encourage customers to sign up for the Loyalty Club scheme.”

Cllr Steve Claymore, Cabinet member for Economy, said: “This Loyalty Club scheme is an excellent way to encourage shoppers to use their local traders and it will benefit Tamworth businesses and shoppers, as well as boosting the wider town centre.

“I would encourage all Tamworth people to support this initiative and support their local traders.”

The cards are available to buy from Tamworth Tourist Information Centre in the Philip Dix Centre, as well as some of the participating businesses.

All the businesses signed up so far, as well as their offers, can be seen at
