The legendary Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show is coming to the Statfold Barn Festival next summer.
The actor, broadcaster and Radio 2 DJ has been captivating crowds throughout the UK for many years as the ‘Maestro of Funk’ and has played at some of the country’s biggest music events.
Craig, who has starred in Coronation Street and Red Dwarf, will be on the decks on the main Statfold stage on Friday 14 August.
He joins a stellar line-up of acts already announced including Scouting For Girls, Gabrielle, Lemar and The Hoosiers.
The Statfold Barn Festival, shortlisted in the Promoter category at this year’s UK Festival Awards, takes place August 14-16, 2020 at Statfold Barn Railway, Tamworth, Staffordshire.
Tamworth-based promoter, Alex Farrell, said: “We were looking to do something a little bit different and thought a DJ set would go down well with the festival crowd. We are so lucky that someone of the calibre of Craig Charles is available and able to come and bring his famous Funk and Soul Show to Statfold. It promises to be a truly unmissable festival experience.
“We are continuing to work hard to put together an incredible line-up of big-name music acts as well as local performers and other entertainment to appeal to everyone, so I recommend booking your early bird tickets now before they run out.”
Set within 1,000 acres of breathtaking Staffordshire countryside, the Statfold Barn Railway is home to a narrow two ft gauge railway and extensive private collection of 30 historic steam locomotives.
