£1000 reward offered in relation to Two Gates hit-and-run

A REWARD of £1000 has been offered by Two Gates Club in relation to the tragic collision outside their venue last night.

Two Gates Club where the 92-year-old gentleman was a member has offered the reward to anyone who passes information to the police that leads to the arrest and conviction of the driver of the vehicle.

The man, who has been named locally as Ike, was struck by a dark-coloured vehicle, possibly a people carrier, at 10.45pm on Watling Street, near to the crossroads of Watling Street, Two Gates and Dosthill Road – close to Two Gates Club.

In a post on the clubs Facebook page, they say:

“On Friday 21st Dec 2018 at approximately 22:45 a well loved 92-year-old member of Two Gates Club was hit by a vehicle whilst crossing the road at Two Gates and sadly passed away at the scene.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends and everyone at the club is saddened by the loss of such a wonderful gentleman. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop

“We are offering a £1000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the driver”.

Information can be passed to the police by calling 101 and quoting incident 924 of 21 December 2018.

The post from the club continues:

“We will pay £1000 for information that helps the police to arrest and convict the driver of this vehicle. If you were the driver then do the decent thing and contact the police.”
