Appeal after collision involving motorcycle

OFFICERS from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A53 in Whitmore on Friday (April 2).

Police were called to the incident at around 4pm following reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

The male rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains, receiving treatment.

As a result of the incident the road was closed and an investigation into the collision is underway.


Witnesses to the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage should pass information to Staffordshire Police by calling 101, via their website www.staffordshire.police.uk or via their Facebook or Twitter pages quoting incident number 0462 of April 2.

No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
